Description
Located in the vicinity of Kik-in-de-Kök and Konyushennaya, the Maidenââ¬â¢s tower is made in the form of a trapezoidal fortification, protruding beyond the line of defensive walls. According to ancient documents from 1373, initially the Neytsitorn was named Megghede or Meghde in honor of the captain of the tower. According to another version, a certain Hins Megdhe was a contractor to whom the city municipality entrusted the construction of the southwestern fortifications of Tallinn.
